James Thompson is currently a professor of New Testament at Abilene Christian University. He earned his BA and MA from ACU and attended Vanderbilt University for his Ph.D. He has also served as the President for the Institute of Christian Studies and as the Director of the Institute for the Study of Christian Origins in Tuebingen Germany.
